Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why volunteer?
A: It's fun to volunteer. The net proceeds activities, such as the concession stand go back into the St. Charles sports programs. It's also a great way to meet other parents in the community.

Q: Who can I contact to volunteer?
A: Contact Dee Fleissner (642-2972) or complete the form above. If you would prefer to volunteer for other activities, please send us the volunteer form or contact any of the Association officers.

Q: What can I volunteer for?
A: The concession stand and the Bulldog Bash are two areas that require the most volunteers.  The expectation is that every parent volunteer some time, but not while your child is participating in an event.  For example, many parents of  JV players volunteer during a varsity event and vice versa.

Q: When is the concession stand open?
A: JV home games: Thursdays, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Varsity home games: Fridays, 6:00 - 9 p.m.

Q: Can I pick the times or length of shifts I work?
A: Yes. You can work as much or as little as you like, but we would like your help. We know you don't want to miss your child's game, so scheduling is flexible. For example, parents of varsity players often work a JV game or vice versa. You can choose to work one game during a season or multiple games.

Q: What will I do if I work the concession stand?
A: You can help out at the concession window or help with food preparation.  You don't have to be n charge -- just help out.

Q: Will someone show me what to do if I work the concession stand?
A: Absolutely!  We will not ask you to operate it without experienced help to show you what to do.  It's really easy.
